STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Bible:

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and it was written by holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (II Timothy 3:16; and II Peter 1:21).  There are 66 books that make up the Bible and it is divided into the Old Testament and New Testament (39 on Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament).  God encourages us to study the word of God daily (Joshua 1:8; II Timothy 3:15; I Thessalonians 2:13). The Bible is infallible and should not be altered. (Revelation 22:19).

The Trinity:

Our God is one but manifested in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit I (John 5:7).  The three Persons of the Trinity are all equal but have different functions.

God the Father is the greater than all (John 14:28; John 16:28; John 1:14).

Jesus Christ is God The Son – He is the Word Who came to earth and became flesh (John 1:14).  He is the Son of God (John 3:16).  John 1:1 says in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:4, Acts 13:2).  He is sent by the Father and Jesus (John 15:26).

Man:

Man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26), but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world (Romans 3:10 and Romans 5:14).  But God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to buy back man from the slave market of sin.  Jesus gave up His life through the death on the cross and He shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 1:7, Hebrews 9:12, 15 & 22).

According to John 3 except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3-5.)  All mankind has to be born again in order to receive eternal life (John 3:16; II Corinthians 7:10 and I John 5:12).  Jesus is the only way to spending everlasting life in heaven (John 14:6, Acts 4:12 and Romans 10:9-10, 13).

Salvation is the gift of God to man (Romans 6:23) and not of works lest any man should boast.  It is through faith in Jesus Christ and grace producing works acceptable to God

(Ephesians 2:8-10).

All those who die without accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are doomed to spend eternity in hell and hell will eventually be cast into the lake of fire. (John 3:16-19; Revelation 19:20).  There can never be a chance for a man who has died in his sins to receive Christ (Hebrews 9:27).

Water Baptism:

Baptism in water by total immersion in water (not sprinkling) – Acts 8:39.  This is for believers only and is commanded by Christ (Matthew 28:19).  This symbolizes the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection (Romans 6:4, Col 2:12 and Acts 8:36-39) and is administered by a minister.

Holy Spirit Baptism:

Baptism with the Holy Spirit and fire with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance is for believers.  Jesus Christ is the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit and fire (Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, 38; Acts 10: 44-48 and Acts 19:1-7)

Holiness:

We should be holy as God is holy  (I Peter 1:15-16) and without holiness no man can see God (Hebrews 12:14).  The believer should purposefully strive to be holy with the help  and grace of the Holy Spirit.  This is a work that shall continue throughout the believer’s life (Romans 12:1-2; I II Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 3:12-13 and Thessalonians 5:23;).

Divine Healing:

Divine healing of the human soul (emotion and psychological make-up) and body is for all and is manifested by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and also by the laying on of hands.  (Mark 16:18; James 5:14-25; I Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:4-5 and Matt 8:17)

Resurrection of saints and the return of Jesus Christ:

The second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will occur (Act 1:11) and will result in the resurrection of believers who had died and rapture of believers still alive (I Corinthians 15:51-54 and I Thessalonians 4:15-17).  He shall return to earth after tribulation together with believers and will reign for a thousand years (Revelation 20:6).
